TRAVEL TO THE PAST!
Looking around on the World Wide Web I find a lot of sites where one can buy reminders of the past-- antiques, repro porcelain signs, retro clothing, and so on, but there doesn't seem to be too many places that put together information about where you can DO things that harken back to days gone by. There are lots of ways to try to get the feel of what we suppose were simpler times, from biplane rides to ballroom dancing (two of my favorites), from watching a silent movie with live organ accompaniment to playing baseball in vintage style uniforms with old time rules. Let's see if we can find those experiences and present them in a useable format, so that you can plan to go out on a Saturday and do something that will be fun, and will give you some perspective on history, in general or your own, and perspective on where you, and we, are today.
